Designing Patterns
Every creation begins with a design. Our artisans draw inspiration from Belizean nature, cultural symbols, and traditional patterns passed down through generations. Each pattern is carefully planned, considering the colors, shapes, and meaning behind the design.
Whether it's a floral embroidery for a tablecloth or a bold jaguar motif for a handbag, the design process ensures each piece tells a unique story.
Pattern & Design
Painting & Embroidery
Once the design is set, our artisans begin the detailed work of fabric painting or embroidery. Using fine needles, colorful threads, and special fabric paints, they bring each design to life on the chosen material.
This is the most time-intensive part of the process, requiring patience, precision, and years of practiced skill. Some intricate embroidery patterns can take days to complete.
Hand Stitching
With the decorated fabric ready, the artisans carefully cut and stitch the pieces together by hand. Each seam is reinforced for durability, ensuring our products last for years.
For bags and accessories, this includes adding zippers, straps, linings, and closures — all sewn by skilled hands. For textiles like tablecloths and curtains, hems are carefully finished with decorative edging.
Finishing the Product
The final step is quality inspection and finishing touches. Each product is carefully checked for quality, with any loose threads trimmed and final adjustments made.
